About AIFI
AIFI is the AI Fear Index published at aifear.ai: a lagging daily close of fear already visible in public AI coverage, scored from 0 to 100.
What it is
Each day AIFI publishes one number—the daily close—plus a band label (calm, watchful, elevated, fearful, or extreme). The close summarizes how much fear-related signal showed up in a fixed set of public coverage sources for that day. It is designed so the same inputs under the same methodology version replay to the same number.
What it is not
- Not a forecast of future AI progress, risk, or markets.
- Not an intraday ticker or trading signal.
- Not affiliated with other products that use similar “AI fear” or “fear & greed” names.
